About the artist from The Artisans' Gallery: Peggy graduated from St Lawrence University with a B.A. in Religion. She and her husband settled in the Mad River Valley where they founded Wood and Wood Sign Company in 1972. Thus, began a life-long love affair with art on wood in all its manifestations--a handmade home, furniture, signs murals, decorative arts and ultimately the iconic "Peggy Potter Bowls" for which she is best known. Along with Lori Klein, Peggy is one of the original founders of Artisans' Gallery. In 2011 Peggy sold her bowl business.
