This lovely carved stone figure depicts Anubis with Isis. Anubis was the Egyptian god of mummification and the afterlife. With the head of a jackal, Anubis oversaw mummification and guided the dead into the afterlife. Isis is known for her magical abilities, including the ability to resurrect the dead. He is often paired with Isis because of her association with motherhood and the cycle of life and death. This 11.5" tall statuette is finely detailed and in Very Good Condition. It has a few small dings to the surface (see photos for close ups.)
