These 2 vibrant dishes were created by the glass artist Edwin D. Walter. He used fused glass to create the look of nice, juicy watermelon slices. Each is signed by the artist. They are in Excellent condition with no chips, cracks or scratches.

About the artist from the internet: EDWIN D. WALTER (1918-2001) began experimenting with glass sagging and lamination in 1951. He held a master’s degree in art and was an assistant professor of art at Oklahoma City University. Edwin D. Walter died Feb. 5, 2001 at his home in Troy, Alabama. He was 82.
