This vintage Stanley Thermal jug is marked on the base "To Sterilize, fill container with and wash cover in boiling water. Let stand 5 minutes and pour out." Also, "Stanley Thermos Jug. Landers, Frary & Clark New Britain, Conn. USA". Produced in the 1940s, this style of thermos was used on airplanes during World War II so air crews had access to hot water for coffee, soup, etc. Has some rust spots and it is rusty inside, as well.
