This ornate Victorian era butter dish has a lid and integrated butter knife rest. The inside tray is removable. Made by the Meriden Britannia Co., which was founded in Meriden, Connecticut, in 1852 and became part of the International Silver Co. in 1989. This piece has the hallmark of the company and is pattern 4974. In Good condition. Some the silver plating has worn off. See photos for condition.
