Lacquered wood jewelry box with brass fittings and a glass inset on top, with a three-dimensional carved wood image of a cottage by a bridge surrounded by stylized trees. There is a hinged top compartment with dividers and three drawers, all lined with red fabric. The black lacquer finish is accented with dark red swirls. It's in very good condition, with the exception of a missing "foot" on the back corner that can be easily fixed (see photos).
