The Schnitzelbank Song is a German drinking call-and-response folk song that revolves around certain objects or images. The top of the mug says "Oh du schöne Schnitzelbank", which literally means "Oh you beautiful wood-carving bench"; at the bottom it says "Jetzt trinken wir noch eins", which means "Let's have one more drink now". The various images on the stein: "wedding ring'. "large glass", "rifle" relate to the verses of the song.
The stein has a hinged pewter lid and is in very good condition. Made in Germany by Musterschutz.
