This large carved wood panel depicts a Haitian folk scene that includes men playing drums, a woman stirring a bowl of something, a man with a whip, a man and woman grinding in a large mortar that sits on top of a man, 3 women dance and 2 men fight with swords. The piece is marked "Raymond Baptiste Art" on the back. The wood has a a crack in top right quadrant that has been stabilized with a piece of wood across the back. The carving is in Very Good condition with the exception of scuffs on the surface of the pants of the man on the very far right and the tip of a nail is poking through the front in the top right portion.
