This magnificently outfitted doll wears the traditional clothing of the Greek Infantry Regiment, the Evzones or Evzonoi. This 30" tall doll has a painted plastic head and a fabric body that feels like it is filled with straw. Its original clothing includes muslin "dress", red vest with sequined braiding, kneed bands and original leather shoes with feather tassles. No maker's marks, but appears to date to the 1930s-40s. In Good condition with some of the clothing seams starting to come apart. The leather on the shoes is flaking in places (see photos), too. Comes with a metal stand.
