This 1967 certificate signed by Governor Edward (Ned) Breathitt made known that the Honorable Ogden A. Thomas of Huntington, West Virginia was commissioned as an official Kentucky Colonel. According to Wikipedia, "A Kentucky Colonel Commission (the certificate) is awarded in the name of the Commonwealth by the Governor to individuals... aged 18 or over, for noteworthy accomplishments, contributions to civil society, remarkable deeds, or outstanding service to the community, state, or a nation." The most famous recipient of this honor was Harland Sanders who received it in 1935. In Very Good Condition.
